Do We Need to Show Every Detail in Our Art?
In the beginning, we believe that having every detail of what we see - or what we ‘think’ we see, is the best and only way to create a piece of art. This type if art is called Photorealism and has it’s place.

Is a Secretary of the Arts the best way?
Quincy Jones has been promoting the idea for at least 10 years and a petition asking President Obama to appoint a Secretary of the Arts was created and written by Jaime Austria. While many other countries have had Ministers of Art or Culture for centuries, the United States has never created such a position.
The Arts DO need attention and our country does NEED the arts - now more than ever.

Keep this Art Kit Handy:
Whatever your favorite medium, keep some bare essentials in a case that you can grab and run with. Your Travel Art Kit might include:
- Small Sketch Pad
- Pencils (I also like to include a water soluble graphite pencil)
- Pen/Marker
- Eraser
- Colored Pencils (water soluble are nice
- Small Travel Watercolor Set with Brush
- Small Water Container
- Travel Tissues

Slogging through mud to get things done?
